As someone who is whole heartedly embracing the 90’s style revival with open arms, imagine my glee when I came across this most perfectest of perfect babydoll dresses. Being one of the most quintessential pieces of a nineties girl’s wardrobe, I’d been keeping my eye out for one, but never imagined I’d find one this good… midnight blue lace with pocketses! Now all I need is a pair of these to go with it ;)
I finally, finally found a pair of vintage sunglasses! They’re big, bug-eyed, and bohemian… I quite like them, especially the gold curly-Q attachments on the sides. Mr. Garden Gnome was kind enough to model them for me and I think they suit him quite well.
Jeez, you give a cat a moment in the spotlight and I tell ya... Actually, I think Guinness confused this new find with prey. He’s quite the hunter you know, I once had to save a baby mockingbird from his jaws of death… cute birdies beware!
I’m still trying to decide what to do with this gorgeous feathered hatband. I do like to be somewhat adventurous with my style choices, but I think a full-on headdress may be a bit much even for me. I was thinking of maybe removing the longer side pieces to make a more wearable headband or two. The feathers are kind of coming off the large middle section anyway. Suggestions welcome!
The most softest and well-worn of stripey tees, something you can never have too many of these days. I love the droopiness of it.
So there you have it! All thrifted half-off from the Salvation Army, gotta love those Fun Fridays…
Dress – $4.50
Vintage sunnies – $2.50
Feathered hatband – 55 cents
Stripey tee – $2.50
Bohemian garden gnomes and hatband-hunting kitties – Priceless :)

Good scores! I'm really wanting a stripey t-shirt at the moment, so I'm very envious of that soft one you got.

Oh man! That is one great 90s dress, I can not wait to see you wear it.
Hehe! I love your very fashionable garden gnome. That dress would be too much (in a good way) with a flowered slip underneath!
Thanks girls!
spandexpony: ooh, I like the flowered slip idea, hadn't thought of that... I'll have to keep my eye out!
so, you pretty much found EVERYTHING on my "to find while thrifting" checklist in ONE FELL SWOOP.

I want your lace dress! It's perfect.
Gawd that lace dress is beautiful! You are going to have so much fun layering that for fall!
I've only experienced one fun Friday but it was enough to make me miss being in SR. I tried to go thrifting up here but it just isn't the same. You are truly thrift store blessed in your area. I love everything but that babydoll dress is the best. I miss seeing a photo of you with everything on but the photo was still lovely. I would have those boots in a heartbeat.
that first dress is great GREAT
Oh that dress is to die for! I already have floral docs, and just need the dress to go with them. Seems we have the opposite problem. Great blog, by the way!
