The Forgotten Holiday

Garage Sale, originally uploaded by Lance McCord.

Well my friends, it's National Garage Sale Day, and I for one am off to celebrate! If you had no idea, maybe you should check out this site because I'm assuming you probably missed out on Sneak Some Zucchini Onto Your Neighbors' Porch Night last night... as did I. Though rest assured, National Duran Duran Appreciation Day tomorrow will not be passing us by unnoticed... let the 80's shenanigans begin! :D

Bonus Missa tidbit: My very first "big kid" bike back in the 70's looked a lot like the one in the photo. It had a banana seat with flowers on it and the fender said: "Foxy Lady"... no joke. What were my parents thinking? I was seven.

Anyway, Happy Garage Sale Day everyone!!!

Best Appreciation Day ever! Can we start one in honor of Angela Chase's timeless wisdom?

Milla, I think we like... should.
Have you seen this? :)

"Like cheerleaders. Can't people just cheer. On their own. Like to themselves?" - brilliant!

I had no idea! We'll definitely be on the lookout for some g-sales today, and i will blast some Duran Duran tomorrow!
You are so luck to have had a banana-seat bike!! I always wanted one!

I always wanted a banana dragster bike too - my brother had one with a glittery banana seat and a flag, so unfair!

That photo is excellent!

I didn't know there was such a thing! My family is having a "tag sale" (my grandmother called it a "yard sale") this weekend!

Missa, I am so missing your thrifting hood. I went out on NYSD and came back with nothing to even blog about. Can you believe that? I was so disappointed. I hope your day was more successful.
