Words like radiant, shimmery, and luminescent fill my head when I look at it. It's so gorgeous and really works well with her coloring, giving her such a pretty glow. Those amazing shoes are making me wish I felt more comfortable in heels, and the cut of the dress is awesome. I especially love the wingy sleeves, which seem to be her trademark.
I recently discovered Skye's wonderful blog, chronicling her style choices as a mid-thirties mama like myself, trying to be true to her sense of style with a wee one in tow. Her writing style is really funny and I find a lot to relate to. Not to mention, the girl knows her WAY around a garage sale! I like her fun approach to fashion and that she seems to be drawn to really interesting pieces and isn't afraid to take risks.
This head-to-toe gold look is definitely a favorite. It's got that Studio 54 vibe going while at the same time looking totally modern. This outfit is inspiring me to: 1) incorporate more gold into my wardrobe, 2) get out these gorgeous shoes, which I thrifted months ago and have yet to wear, and possibly most importantly to 3) add Xanadu to my Netflix ASAP...
What can I say, as the girl who had ALL her birthday parties at the roller rink... I have an undying childhood fondness for ELO and roller skates ;)
