This week in the 100% Thrifted flickr group, I found inspiration in the lovely simplicity of this outfit. As you know, I have a thing for the white dresses and this vintage dress thrifted by seekingdeersign is a beauty. I love how the buttons and shirt collar add structure to the light airiness of the sheer cotton fabric with its wonderful woven stripes. The brown leather granny boots and thin mustard belt tie things together perfectly along with the amazing necklace she made from an ornate bit of flea market metal and a garage sale chain, what a creative idea! I’m also really loving the way the milkmaid braids look with this.
Not to mention the gorgeous photography here. The picture itself has such a stark beauty about it and a haunting quality which I love. The location, the colors, it all comes together in such a way that the image seems to be telling a story, something of the dark fairytale variety maybe. So nicely done! Seekingdeersign also has a lovely new blog which you can check out here.
