100% Thrifted Pick of the Week (2.10.09)
I LOVE this dress with it's happy lil' scene and pockets of joy! There's even a sweet little house on the back. It reminds me of childhood paintings :)
My mom recently cleaned out her garage and dropped off a collection of funny little watercolor paintings I did as a child. Erin Liz's adorable dress made me think of them so I snapped a few pics. I dug up a couple of old photos to go with them of me being an artsy craftsy little kid at age 5 back in 1977.
I was very big on rainbows. Clearly, I missed my calling as an arteest ;)

This makes me want to start painting my clothes with little houses, rainbows and birds.
Aw...those paintings are adorable, and I love that you had the same hair! We've started water coloring with Ava which is fun...and messy...but mostly fun...or is it messy?
Back to the subject at hand...I'm a big fan of that dress as well.
I love your paintings - kid's watercolours are really lovely I think.
Oh those glorious pockets!
Cute old paintings!! I was just informed that there are 30-40 boxes of my childhood junk sitting in my dad's basement... it is going to be a giant task to go through all of it!
I love the old photos and the thrift pick!! Awesome theme here! PS -- tag, you're it!
Wow, Missa!
Another beautiful post!
(I only can't stand turtlenecks(?))
Can't help it.
