On my wishlist...

A perfect pair of brown leather lace-up granny ankle boots:

Images: facehunter (1 & 3) and Superfantasticpicturetime (2)

Three inspiring outfits bookmarked over the past months... talk about inspiration to boot ;) I've been searching high and low for a pair for ages now.

Ah, what would thrifting be without that particular type of shoe that continues to elude? There always seems to be one, at least for me there does. These are proving to be especially elusive though, as I've come across next to none that are even the wrong size, which makes finding a pair and having them be my size seem even more daunting.

I'm pretty stubborn when it comes to this sort of thing though so I'll continue to search... refusing to give up hope. Should that change, there's always Etsy (photos link to source):

... oh so tempting!

What size shoe do you wear?

*sigh* I know how it is! I've been looking and longing for a pair of high-heeled cowgirl boots in tan that are a size 9 1/2 wide.
Good luck on your search!

Oh i'm on a similar hunt to you!
I have been looking for a pair of knee high tan boots.
I've designed exactly the type I want in my head but have never seen them so I'm unsure if they exist. But I'll know when I see them!

I hope you get yours, they go with everything!!

Ahhhh! If only I was certain of the American/Australian shoe size conversion!

I particularly love the boots with the hole detailing.

they are very cool ... i would look ridiculous in them, i think you need to have nice long legs to wear them? anyway I have put a link to your beautiful blog on my fledgling blog (in reference to op-shop and thrifting and re-working old clothes) ... :)

You know, this post brings back so many memories! When I was in college in the '90s, I wore this style of shoes everywhere. They were the style those days and you could find them at every price range. They were super cool. Good times!

Good luck on your search, I want some of those that look like vintage ice skates (without the blade).

I'm ambivalent towards the boots, but the coat on that last girl is beyond fabulous! I've got a little bit of a crush on her now, I believe.

Me too! Me too! I just really want a pair of totally flat soled lace-up boots. I don't really like them with heels. On me that is.
