Sharing my weekly faves from the Nifty Thrift flickr group where people post pics of their nifty thrifty finds. In other words a weekly spot for me to publicly covet the finds of others :)

Those old sewing machines almost always do work, they're so simple mechanically that they last forever. I learnt to sew on one very similar to that.

PS. have tagged you with that "fourth photo" tag that's going around...

Wow, I love all 3 of these things, especially the paper parasol, I've wanted one of those since forever!

& you look amazing in your NY outfit! x

i love old sewing machines. and i agree with the comment above in that they almost always work. i have one with a foot pedal that outlasted a used 1980's singer that i bought. i'm too lazy to use it though, as it's so much work. :)

Oh love parasols, I've had one similar since childhood. It's stuck in stupid storage in another province.

I really, really want a vintage typewriter... Only in my thrifting dreams will I get one!

Do they still make ribbon for typewriters? I know I need some and people made fun of me for asking about it! Lovely finds, I'm jealous! And the casing on the typewriting by itself is so cool.
