100% Thrifted Pick of the Week (9.01.08)

, originally uploaded by nemrešpobjećodnedjelje.

One of my favorite things about the always inspiring style of nemrešpobjećodnedjelje is her ability to come up with truly amazing color combinations. Lately I’ve been really loving all the deep rich colors that are turning up for Fall: teal, pumpkin, plum, mustard, wine reds, and forest greens. This combo is a perfect example of what I love about these colors and how they can be combined in unexpected ways to stunning effect.

I also love that even though the outfit only consists of a few basic pieces (blouse, skirt, shoes, belt), there are still so many interesting details: the pleats, the belt placement, the way the bow is tied, the matching lipstick, even how the two-toned leather shoes seem to pick up the varying shades of brown in her hair. All perfectly put together and perfectly lovely!

Check out the 100% Thrifted flickr group for more fabulous fully thrifted outfits :)

Those colours are wonderful - we had nothing but black, black and a little bit of grey for our autumn/winter just gone, this is much nicer.

Great choice. She's always wonderfully dressed, and I'm dying for a pair of shoes like those.
