Sometimes you've just got to write this stuff down...
Conversation with Clover on our drive to The Farm the other morning:
M: It's a cloudy day today.
C: There's no clouds.
M: You're right, it's more of a gray day. The sky is like one big cloud today.
C: Mama, why is there a sky?
M: Hmm, uhh...
C: Is it so the birds can fly?
M: Exactly. Now how did you get so smart?

aren't kids awesome? my three year old has been full of interesting questions like that, too. they really make you look at the world in a different way.
so glad you are back. i was just about to start worrying that maybe something had happened. i'm sorry you were sick. god, being sick with kids should be totally illegal. looking forward to seeing you around again!
Children are so amazing, I remember when my son asked me about the black hole, I didn't even know what to answer, I had to go home and google it to try to give him an answer. It's great to see things through children's eyes, working with them never ceases to amaze me.
So birds can fly...that is the title of a children's book! You should write down all of Clover's wisdom and one day she'll be published.
Haha, oh yes, I concur! My eldest is adept at asking road workers what they are doing and why...usually I smile indulgently and if they don't answer him I tell him to YELL LOUDER! hahahaha.
Thats pretty awesome, love her logic!
I've been teaching my older son about the sky and air and wind for his preschool curriculum!
Love the photo. Clover is so sweet!
ha!! genius! I've always liked your little girl :)
