There's Something About Mary

The Secret Garden, 1993

The Secret Garden, 1993

We've been watching the movie The Secret Garden lately. The 1993 version, borrowed from the children's section at our public library. I'd be lying if I said I didn't see this coming...

Oh yes, Mary Lennox is indeed the new Gretel :)

MARY LENNOX!!!! of course! clover is a natural. this costume thing just gets cuter and cuter.

i loved the secret garden my entire life, especially the book, and definitely this version of the movie. i practically shed a tear when i saw that damn preview! soooo nostalgic. and clover has some amazing inspiration tastes. mary lennox's style RULES and clover's take on it is QUITE becoming!

merry christmas to you cuties.

my favourite is the one from the 80s (hallmark edition). I did see the '93 version in theatres and loved it even afterwards, but the other one just speaks more to me and I believe goes even more in line with the book. yey for Mary Lennox

This sounds like a great film for little girls, and little girls at heart (like me). I'll have to check it out at my library too. Merry Christmas!
