A Thing of Beauty

Yikes, has it really been 3 weeks since my last post?! Well, I guess I needed a little break. You know, it happens, gotta just take some time for life, recharge the creative juices and what not.

Ironically, during my time away from blogging, I had the great great pleasure of coming together face-to-face FOR REALS with some of my most beloved ladies of the internets!

The Sisterhood in Their Natural Habitat

Somehow the term “blogger-meetup” doesn’t feel quite magical enough to describe what occured last weekend. The exuberant physical realization of a sisterhood, one conjured with love and nurtured over time through photographs and thoughtful keystrokes, comes closer. Though I guess "blogger meetup" does roll off the tongue a bit easier.

For now, I will just say that the whole experience was truly a thing of beauty :)

I loved the above photo of us girls from Heather’s wonderful post about our weekend. If you haven’t already, you can read it here. In the meantime, I will continue going through my insane number of photos and try to somehow distill them down into a cohesive post or two of my own. Stay tuned!

Oh, and I'll leave you with this picture I just took of Clover, 'cause her outfit happens to be pretty darn cute today:

O's
See what I mean?

What a lovely thrifting summit! Can't wait to see your pictures, too. And I'm glad to see Clover takes time out for Os in her busy fashionista schedule.

oh missa, yay! i do love that photo too (and its lovely setting ;) I can't wait to see some of your photos pop up. i feel ya...it's hard, it takes like a whole day to process and post, so good luck, maybe it's the perfect rainy day activity. clover looks AMAZING and is inspiring me to throw on several cozy layers today to combat the chill and stormy weather that has overtaken us up here. looks like she is a big fan of folksy patterns, PERFECT for a girl of many fairytale worlds! miss you chicas, xoxo.

I totally meant to comment yesterday when I first noticed you'd done a post, but after putting together my post and doing that test over at anne's I was totally exhausted :)

I love love love Clover's outfit, and her posture and expression is pricelss!

I was thinking that with all the photos being taken last weekend, we could probably put together a panorama of any given moment of the visit. Too funny. I am looking forward to seeing your part of the panoramic view :)

I haven't ever been thrifting in SR before, and the idea is very enticing. I will have to make a trip your way happen soon.

I miss you Clover. I also think I overheard this outfit being planned. I wish I had such meticulous planning skills. Oh well, at least I have stylish friends to keep me well-dressed.

Seriously.

Check out my blog when you get a second because we are getting CHICKENS soon and I know that you, too, are recent chicken raisers. Give me some tips, girl! We are picking up our chicks in about 2 weeks. I am ordering the organic chicken starter online. It's funny...I don't eat eggs and haven't in years but I will eat brownies if someone makes them and they have eggs in them but I haven't had quiche, omelets, etc in YEARSSSS! I am excited to know that our little chickens will be raised with love and a beautiful life!
