Starry Starry Night

Mazzy Star is back together and kicking off their tour right here in sleepy ol' Sonoma County of all places. Lucky me, I've got tickets to tonight's sold out show at the Mystic Theatre in Petaluma. SO EXCITED!!!

If you've been around awhile, you may recall me mentioning my deep love for Hope Sandoval's style. So inspiring. Oh little plaid skirt in this video... my wardrobe needs you!

This is one of the two new songs (their first in 15 years!) they released back in October. I quite like it. Rumor has it there's an album to come out later this year. Well, here's to a beautiful Mazzy Starlit night! I'm so prepared to be STARstruck... alright, I'll stop ;)

P.S. My next birthday surprise post is in the works, sorry I'm so slow with these things! A hippety hoppity Easter weekend to you dear ones :)

I love Mazzy Star! You are so lucky. I used to love to play guitar and sing in the bathroom to Mazzy Star's "Ride it On." I still need to buy the new lp. Have fun!

OOH you must report how the show was. LOVED them, a college fave, spent many a lazy afternoon on a futon with them.

Don't ya hate it when you thought you commented and you hadn't! Such is my life right now, supremely forgetful and well meaning. I only remembered Mazzy Starr after taking your links. Why was music always so heartwrenching in the nineties? In a good way a' course, but still. Fade into You makes me feel like lighting up a cigarette and driving. Lucky you lady getting to see these guys. I'm sending you a plaid skirt - you might have to take it in though!

I. Am. SO. jealous. What a lucky gal you are. I swear everything really cool happens just north of us :/ And I certainly hope you want to share your experience. I didn't think M.S would ever do anything together again. I'm assuming it was a purely mystical night...

In other news - hope you and your crew had a lovely Easter. Ours was chaotic and crazy as always, but entirely worth it
(as always)
