It happened to be Elvis Day.
Clover and I rode another flying elephant, I guess that kinda makes it our thing now.
Annual photobooth family portraits :)
I had an Elvis sighting at the Spaghetti Palace!
Huge chicken alert!
Met up with the gang for a little Destruction Derby action. Between each round Clover kept saying: "Momma, I just can't wait till they start bumpin' iiinnto eachother!"
Vintage 70's moccs found at last month's flea market for 5 bucks :D
Nightime carnival sights.
Flying elephants, Elvis sightings, chickens of unusual size, and voluntary car crashes aside, the old timey photo booth is where the real wackiness went down…
… resulting in a crowd of cheering onlookers and this awesome piece of work featuring my husband in drag and my two year old (up way past her bed time) dressed like a miniature harlot with a whiskey bottle in one hand, brandishing a pistol at the camera with the other, and somehow managing to look way more badass than the rest of us. Are we officially bad parents now?
Ah, the face of innocence lost ;)

These pics are wonderful. Everything about your day seems so lovely. The Old Timey pic is classic, and you're right that Clover steals the scene.

DUDE clover is BADASS! i love it so much, she's channeling some serious Julie Christie as Mrs. Miller right there. awesome. your family rules.
and i LOVE the overall wacky theme of your post and how it kinda keeps getting crazier and crazier (okay except the mocs which are just sheer lovely and same with the photo booth pics). but the destruction derby, wow, it's kind of funny and tripping me out to think of your peaceful little fam getting your socks knocked off by crashing cars! hilarious and wonderful is this crazy carnival world!
