It is the only dress of the set I considered keeping. Oh and the label is Peggy Barker. Looks like Candi and Peggy were seriously ripping on Jessica's style! Thank god.

PS that shot from behind is so gorgeous. I am watching this PBS thing on fractals right now as I work and your hair, the dress, and the tree branches are so reminiscent of that imagery!Violet Folklorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02136470161407284445noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-708635780557529859.post-67617100339078846882010-08-13T14:36:38.930-07:002010-08-13T14:36:38.930-07:00You live in a magical land far from me :> How i...You live in a magical land far from me :> How is it that you find giant roosters and harvest giant zucchinis? My Grandparents always had a large garden so I'm sure they were in a similar circumstance. They did a lot of canning and I think this might be a canning recipe, but I am sure it would be good fresh too (or just boiled for a sauce)

This one is for Zucchini Relish (it says "can be used with large ones") :) It seems like a very large batch so maybe you can cut it down.

Remove skin and pulp
2 quarts ground squash (corse)
4 med onions (ground)
1 large bell pepper (ground corse)
cover with 1/4 C salt and all water to cover, let stand for 4 hours then drain in colander
add 2 1/2 cups sugar, 1 tsp tumerric, 1/4 tsp powdered cloves, 1 tsp mustard seed, 2 1/2 cups vinegar

The rest is hard to decipher but it involves straining and re-boiling (the canning part

I will keep looking for the bread recipe, it was always so yummy when I was growing up.What we four sayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09199331683603053383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-708635780557529859.post-46984164564145688662010-08-09T11:06:37.378-07:002010-08-09T11:06:37.378-07:00no zucchini here, cucumbers though. lawdy-mercy, i...no zucchini here, cucumbers though. lawdy-mercy, i am picklin them as fast as i can. and, on the cusp of a pepper and tomato deluge.leah - moxiethrift on etsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02537109684901948746noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-708635780557529859.post-23892682782019740512010-08-08T21:55:23.305-07:002010-08-08T21:55:23.305-07:00Waaaaah, i've been away from blogging and miss...Waaaaah, i've been away from blogging and missed all these great posts!
